Found on all STIHL saw chains, our patented STIHL OILOMATIC® System of Lubrication extends the useful life of your STIHL harvester chain, guide bar and chain sprocket.


  • Unlike conventional saw chains, each drive link of a STIHL OILOMATIC® saw chain incorporates an oil channel that is angled upward and backward
  • The centrifugal force and inertia created as the chain travels around the bar causes lubricating oil to be collected from the bar groove

  • It is then forced up through the oil channel and outward to places where it is needed most, lengthening your STIHL saw chain life and giving you optimum use of your harvester machine
